Baby Signing
Our passion at THE BEST START CLUB is to give each child the best possible start in life. We do this through the multisensory learning of Baby Signing, Baby Sensory Play, Toddler Sensory Play, Music and Movement.
Every song we sing and sign, every activity we explore, every dance or movement activity we do, or exploring the lights, the different textures, dress-up, visuals, magical scenes, puppets, instrument activities etc has a developmental purpose. So whilst we have great fun together, make life long friends, your little one is growing and developing in our classes.

AGE APPROPRIATE CLASSES
With the addition of new concepts and challenges along the way, each age appropriate program acts as a stepping stone to the next paving the way to a musical journey that can last many magnificent years.
BABY SENSORY MUSIC 0-12 months
A magical musical programme for Babies from 3 weeks of age to 12 months where we introduce wonderful engaging music from across the world. Basic massage and co-ordination to get the brain and body working well together. Baby Signing to create a visual and kinaesthetic experience of language and to ease the frustration of pre-speech communication difficulty.
We dance, enjoy instruments, lap bounce and explore multiple sensory activities all designed to engage all the senses and promote development and a wonderful introduction to musical learning.
TODDLER SENSORY MUSIC 1-4 years - Siblings Welcome
We have so much fun now the children are up and about. Classes are rich in sensory experiences now adding lots more movement activities as well as a little quiet time to teach the children how to self regulate in a busy world. We'll explore our hands, tap a steady beat, bounce to the music, play parachute games, bubbles, dance and even dress up to help them understand deeper. Baby Signing is always a part of every level but now many of the children sign back which is amazing to see. They meet our fabulous puppets and learn about simple instruments too.
PRE-SCHOOL SENSORY MUSIC 3-5 years - Siblings Welcome
Our Pre-schooler class prepares children for later instrument learning giving them key basic musical skills. An introduction to Kodaly and Colourstrings.
We learn about our voices and the sounds we can make musically and explore the pentatonic scale. Very basic reading of music with pictures and tapping a beat with our hands, our drums, or walking the beat. It's interspersed with puppets, bubbles, parachute play, sign language and much more.
Baby Signing
Imagine the joy of your little one communicating with you pre-speech? This is what Baby Signing is all about.
In all our classes we use gestures, simple signs from sign language with our babies/ toddlers with speech or song as we engage with them. When they are ready, they do it back. That's so special!
Whilst we sign we always speak or sing so that they hear the words. This gives a wonderful multi-sensory experience of language.
