Baby Signs -

Establishing Communication

STAGE 2

These programmes seek to support baby's eagerness to learn, communicate and be better understood. Its finer developed motor skills make signing easier and allow us to introduce other fun activities including instruments, rhythm, listening skills and movement complimented by lots of music and songs.

It's a faster pace course for now becoming active babies, so the pace of the classes and activities now continue to meet the needs of these more curious and engaged babies.

They now delight in the appearance of the parachute, the bubbles, the light shows and recognise what's coming next.  This is truly a magical experience for everyone.

What a Parent and Child Will Experience in Class

A Warm Welcome -- We endeavour to make everyone feel warmly welcome and included in all of our classes.

Our class is truly the essence of "quality time", offering the parent a place to create special memories with their child, gain new insights into their child's development, and nurture their child's natural love of music.

Variety of Music --  We use a diverse range of musical styles, sounds and genres including a range of new songs and traditional nursery rhymes. This builds strong neural pathways in the baby's developing brain.

Instrument Play --  Age appropriate experiences with child-safe instruments enhance a sense of rhythm and steady beat.  This develops a keen awarness of the distinguishing qualities of sound, and encourages spontaneity and creativity.

Sensory Play --  We have a variety of magical sensory activities and props that we use in all our classes including bubbles, parachutes, scarves, magic light shows, all sorts of different textured objects.  These are all carefully used to gently stimulate each of your child's senses.

Dance --  A classroom full of baby and adult pairs dancing together helps a little body develop the muscle strength needed to crawl and walk and helps a little heart to fall in love with the sheer joy of responding to music.  Doing this with a parent builds that bond together.  It is magical to watch the little ones in their developing joy of dance movement.

Expert Advice --  We will explain “what-to-watch-for” every step of the way and how each activity enhances a child’s complete development.
